Coming in clutch is my manu, who adjusted every issue with Echo in one go and he looks 1000 times better!

He's being shipped to me right now, so he'll be here in a few days! We're expected to get a snow storm soon that might delay his delivery, but he'll absolutely have better pics updated during the campaign!!

Echo's round 1 prototype is here and... he sure is something! 😂

Truth be told, the basic bones are mostly okay since he's modeled from Ploosh! But his face and ears really need some work.

Planned changes:

There's a very small chance I'll receive him in time for/during the campaign if they nail his round 2 prototype. I'm not counting on it, but it's possible!

Ploosh's finalized prototype arrived to me yesterday and I couldn't be happier! The only thing that will change from prototype to production is adding a bit more stuffing to his arms. They'll still be plenty floppy, but he's lacking stuffing in his shoulders and with the added weight beads, it causes that slight sagging look. But even with his understuffed arms, I'm completely in love!

He sits in your arm SO nicely! He's such a gentle, comforting weight to have. His tail is floppy so it doesn't make him awkward to cuddle. He's exactly what I hoped Patchkins would be, so I'm so excited to make the others!

With Ploosh finalized to my liking, I've sent off Echo for prototyping! Talvi wants them to have a suuuper long tail for stimming, so how does 15 inches sound? 🥰 It'll be able to curl up in Echo's lap or wrap around your arm for petting!

Lots to chew on in this tasty update, so let's jump right into it! I'll start with the most exciting part...

Ploosh's prototype is nearly done! 🎉

The above photos are Ploosh's round 2 prototype! The only changes from here will be lengthening his arms and adding weighted beads. The whole point of Patchkins are to have them be comfy lap buddies, with their arms able to drape over your own, so his arms need to be longer! The manu also missed my initial note of adding weighted beads to the arms, legs, and tail, so those will be added for his round 3 and (hopefully!) final prototype.

His round 1 prototype needed some pretty big tweaks, so I didn't want to share that one at the time. Here's what all needed changing from round 1, if you're curious!



His poor stubby limbs and wrinkled arm patches! 😭

I did originally want him to be smaller at around 12 inches when sitting (not including ears), but with my modifications for longer limbs and such, he's turned out to be around 14 inches when sitting (not including ears) and around 19 inches when standing (not including ears)! Patchkins are gonna be great cuddlers for sure 💖

Ideally, I'll have Echo's prototype in progress by the time the campaign launches. I want Ploosh's design to be 100% done to my satisfaction before I attempt to start any others.

Once Ploosh's prototype is finalized, the rest of the Patchkins unlocked through the campaign should only need very minor adjustments during their prototyping, since the body proportions (minus head shape and breed-specific changes like ears and tails) will be mirrored from Ploosh! I hope this makes the production phase go a little smoother when we get there 😊

Speaking of the rest of the Patchkins...

The poll below included thumbnails for the stretch goal designs, so now here's their full arts! Get a better look at your favorites 💖

These designs are mostly final, and also currently in stretch goal order of how you guys have voted! The final order could change with your vote though... so don't miss out!

But what if your favorite design doesn't get unlocked? Not to fear, because...!

Look at these ADORABLE designs by my husband Talvi!! The border effects are still WIPs on a few and subject to change. These will ALL be available as stickers and acrylic keychains right out the gate as add-ons. No need to wait for their plush stretch goals to be unlocked! ✨

For those of you who like enamel pins...

Each plush stretch goal will now also unlock an enamel pin of that design! So when Ploosh's funding goal is met, his enamel pin will also be unlocked, and so on and so forth. Most pins will feature screen printing for their arm patterns and some face markings. I think they'll turn out super cute! 🥹

And last but not least...

Each plush with come with their own blank adoption certificate! (The colors are a WIP since I'm thinking of changing the logo color palette, as well 🤔). These will likely be about 5x7 to make sure they'll fit in packages without getting wrinkled 😊
